Everything Up Until Now and Including, a solo performed by and created in collaboration with dancer Andrea Johnston, is the culmination of years of partnership between choreographer and dancer. This work is a portrait that documents a physical history that brings the body’s past into confrontation with the present. A rigorous and sometimes brutal array of movement and gestures is composed from a record of physical information. While possessing structural limitations, this dance shows the intimacy of a relationship and the intent of a body reaching the threshold of physical impossibility.
